In other good news...

Maternity Portrait

For all expecting moms, couples, families... exciting news!

Brown Eyed Photography has teamed up with Bellani Maternity to offer maternity portrait sessions in a private room with no sitting fee. There is no obligation to purchase prints.
The sessions will be quicker than Brown Eyed Photography's typical photo shoot sessions and will be more studio-like as there will be a background and limited "lifestyle" portrait opportunities.
These sessions will be taking place on November 9 from 12pm-5pm. Call Bellani (401.234.1279) to book your appointment. These will fill up fast.
For those that have already booked maternity sessions with Brown Eyed Photography- feel free to make an appointment at Bellani too. This will just give you another setting for your portraits. This will not effect the session we have already booked.

No Sitting Fee 2008

As the year winds down (it's almost Halloween after all and then it's just one big holiday until 2009!) people are starting to buy gifts (wait- you haven't started gift shopping?!).
As a gift to myself (and you) I thought it would be fun to offer to do all sessions with no sitting fee for the rest of 2008. Absolutely no obligation to buy prints. I'd love the extra practice (and the fun) of doing more photo shoots and I'm sure people are looking for holiday card photos, gift collages, etc.
So let's talk. You pick the location and we'll have a blast getting pictures like this one of you and your family (or the kids, or the new baby, or the cousins....).

Fall is here

My sister-in-law was up for a photo shoot when she visited this weekend. She was such a good sport about trying out different poses and even suggesting some really great pose ideas. This made my job really easy. I was a little nervous that it would be too cold but the weather stayed warm for us this weekend.

Her blue shirt really made those big eyes stand out.

We were a little nervous that it was going to start raining. The pre-rain wind was great for these portraits.

I saw this wall and knew it would made an awesome backdrop. Chelsea is super tall so we had to figure out how to get her at a height where the wall would be behind her. She was more than happy to lay on the leaf strewn sidewalk for

This image was her idea. She asked if she could squat in the road like this. It ended up being one of my favorites.

Thank you so much Chelsea for being so enthusiastic about this shoot. It was very fun and I can't wait to take your senior pictures next summer.

Frazzled

A very sweet mom contacted me to do a nursing shoot for this cutie.

Her mom was feeling frazzled because last night this girlie was up several times. Even so mom and baby were super easy going.
I was nervous that this nine month old would be too distracted. Thankfully, in the comfort of her own bedroom she was focused... for the most part. From time to time she popped off to give me a grin.

This lovely momma knows this is her last baby and is trying to cherish every moment... as tired as she is- and who can't relate to that?

Thank you momma for a fun photo shoot in your baby's beautiful bedroom.

Perfect Porch

I asked Alana if I can bring all of my clients to her front porch for photo shoots. The lighting was perfect on this rainy day for some nursing shots.

After a late morning snack Iris was off to explore. When her daddy held her baby above my head Iris made this great expression.

Iris is always so friendly and it was fun to work with her. We plan to do a family session soon.
Misha, Alana's friendly easy going dog even posed for me.

Thank you Alana, Dave, and Iris for a fun relaxing morning of socializing and portrait making. Looking forward to working with you again soon.
