bye bye blogger

I've been quiet for about a week because I've been madly working on a new blog!
Brown Eyed Photography is leaving blogger in order to host my own blog.
Come check it out at browneyedphotography.com/blog and feel free to offer any feedback. I'm continually working to improve the blog!

See you at the new blog!

We meet again

I met up with Baby Jack and his family at Waterplace Park in Providence, RI on Sunday for a mini-shoot. I know, I couldn't believe it either- but Jack is now 6 months old and very busy taking in all the sights and sounds of the world. I was very impressed with Jack and his family as they were dressed in jeans and didn't look like they were melting (although they felt it!) in the 90degree temps.

And here's some more of the 6 month old who surprised me at the end by sitting by himself!

Thank you Jack, Rebecca, and John for coming out for a mini-shoot heat and all. I loved seeing you again and seeing how much Jack has grown.

So many nicknames for one 3 month old!

Zinnia's fabulous parents met up with me yesterday for a mini shoot in a peaceful state park in East Providence. Zinnie's (or is it Zinny's?) first three months have been awesome for her parents- they are glowing. There's no other way to say it.
Rebecca and Wayne were hoping for some 3 month pictures of Zin but we also got some pretty rockin shots of the whole family of three.

I love Zinnia's look of wonder in the picture on the right.

These two could barely keep their eyes off their baby girl. They are so so in love with her!

Thank you Rebecca, Wayne, and Zinnia. It was lovely getting to know you!

Fauxto Booth from the Portrait Party

Do you remember Chelsea's Portrait Party from a couple weeks ago? Right before everyone jumped into the pool Chelsea and her friends took turns posing in the Brown Eyed Photography Fauxto booth. Here are some favorites:

Thank you again everyone for coming out for the Portrait Party. Hope you're enjoying your last couple days of summer vacation!

Baby Ethan staying cool

Ethan is the tiniest newborn Brown Eyed Photography has worked with. At 2oz lighter than Frankie- it's close but Ethan comes out a little smaller- and just as adorable! We met at Ethan's house (on a street that google maps doesn't know exists, interestingly enough) and enjoyed a couple hours of talking about the early days of being a mom and capturing the cute-factor of this little guy.

and this cooperative little guy even opened his eyes to get some awake pictures for his momma.

Thank you, Tara, for having me do Ethan's newborn pictures. Congratulations again!

And now they are four!

Shalonne and Warren scheduled a session way back at the beginning of the summer when they knew their newest family addition would have made an appearance (and by scheduling when they did they were able to take advantage of a special they heard about through the Brown Eyed Photography Newsletter). Baby Anika was a trooper at 3 weeks old and her newly turned-two brother, Sam was a happy puddle jumper. Anika is a perfect addition to this easy-going family.

And I know it's 90+degrees today but fall is coming... see what I found on our meander through the woods....

Thank you Shalonne, Warren, Sam, and Anika, for a relaxing- if not buggy- morning in Little Compton, RI.

Brand New Baby Frankie in Providence, RI

I had the pleasure of meeting the teeniest baby I have had the honor to do a photo shoot with. He was almost 7lbs at birth and soooo long with humongous feet (feet pictures included with his pictures on facebook). His parents have already settled into this whole parenting thing and they are so completely in love with this little man... but then, who could resist this guy?

I was so impressed that his dad already had Frankie figured out- he prefers to be upright. As soon as his dad would pick him up and start talking to him Frankie would settle right down in his arms.

And Frankie's dad has owns Cronin Construction so a shot of Frankie in his dad's very heavy tool belt made sense.

Thank you so much, Sheba and John...and Frankie for hanging out and doing some newborn pictures. I loved spending time with your newly grown family.
