And now they are four!

Shalonne and Warren scheduled a session way back at the beginning of the summer when they knew their newest family addition would have made an appearance (and by scheduling when they did they were able to take advantage of a special they heard about through the Brown Eyed Photography Newsletter). Baby Anika was a trooper at 3 weeks old and her newly turned-two brother, Sam was a happy puddle jumper. Anika is a perfect addition to this easy-going family.

And I know it's 90+degrees today but fall is coming... see what I found on our meander through the woods....

Thank you Shalonne, Warren, Sam, and Anika, for a relaxing- if not buggy- morning in Little Compton, RI.

Oh so entertaining in Southern RI

Severine won a standard portrait session at Doulas of Rhode Island's (DoRI) silent auction earlier this summer. I was excited to have the opportunity to get to know Severine as one of the founders of DoRI and a doula. Severine's husband is pretty talented too including his work with Rhythmic Journey. Their daughter, Anais, is entertaining as she races around mom and dad, wrestles with dad, and snuggles with mom.

Rob was also so very entertaining from humor to serious and everywhere in between.

It was a pleasure getting to know all three of you! Thanks again for spending a Saturday morning with me... before it got too too hot!

Poppy has arrived!

I was thrilled to meet baby Poppy at just three days old.
Do you see the poppy flowers on the blanket? Joanna's mom made Poppy a crib set that included this very appropriateate quilt.

I love personalizing photo sessions by including things that have personal significance to the person in the portrait. Joanna made Poppy an adorable hat.... and when Poppy arrived it was laughable how little the hat was in comparison to Poppy's head (the girl was over 8lbs after all). So Joanna speedily made a bigger hat. Poppy was 3 days old during this shoot and her mom had already made her a new hat. That's impressive. That is knitting dedication, that's what that is.

Remember Poppy's brother from http://browneyedphotography.blogspot.com/2009/01/waiting-for-poppy.html? He took a break from playing with his cars to hold his baby sister (who looks exactly like him, by the way).

Thank you Joanna (and Ethan) so much for having me over to do Poppy's newborn pictures. Off to work on some birth announcements for Poppy.
